Organic Black Currant Capsules

Normally I don’t like black currant but now I can consume black currant easily thanks to this awesome company

Can’t really give a review, it usually takes 2 weeks into you system to be affective, But I think I’ll order item every month!

I love these black currant capsules because they are organic and have no added fillers.

There are pretty good. It's pretty much just freeze-dried black currants, powdered up and put into capsules. Personally, I like to get my nutrients from regular foods, but I do like to keep these sorts of supplements on hand for days in which I may not be able to eat as varied and healthy foods as I'd prefer. They do seem a bit expensive for the amount that you get, but, for me, that's okay, as it's not as if I'm taking these every day. One thing that I will say... one of the capsules must have gotten crushed inside the pouch (one of the downsides of a pouch versus a bottle... less protection) and it left the rest of the capsules coated in black currant powder... which is actually pretty tasty!

I was really excited to try these, but the package arrived with a couple of the capsules opened and the Black Currant powder is so fine that it sticks to everything (everything, the capsules, the bag they come in, your fingers).The extra loose powder makes the capsules taste very bitter, but also with a nice fruity taste as well, so it's weirdly pleasant.The powder also stains, skin, fabric, etc...But the good news is, if you get the powder on your skin, it doesn't last long.So for this reason I marked it down a half star.I also marked it down one star because the capsules are huge and I have trouble swallowing such large capsules.I wish they would list what size capsule is used on the package.The capsules also come in a small metalized pouch, and considering the type of product they are, I would have expected them to come in something more earth friendly, compostable, or at the very least recyclable.So for that reason I marked them down another half star.The black currant powder itself seems wonderful and there not been opened capsules in my pouch, I could have easily over looked the other things and given them 4 stars.Because the pouch is so full of loose powder making it kind of a hassle to take them and not get stained fingers, I am thinking of trying to use several of the capsules in this years Thanksgiving cranberry sauce, the flavor seems like it would go well with cranberries and once sweetened, with some orange, cinnamon, and vanilla, it seems like it will add a fruity depth to the cranberry sauce which will be nice.
