Tips for evaluating Celery Powder

Start with the taste and smell - A celery powder should taste and smell like celery. Our powder is made by freeze-drying whole celery stalks and grinding them into a powder. It has a very fresh celery taste and scent. If a celery powder does not have a strong celery taste or smell it has likely be diluted with some sort of filler (such as maltodextrin). Our powder is 100% pure.
Color - The center of a celery stalk is white and the outer skin is green. When dried and powdered, the resulting powder should be very light green in color. If the powder is darker green in color with a brownish tint, it is a sign that the drying process has degraded the celery stalks as they are dried which will result in a lower quality powder. You'll notice when you add our celery powder to water the color is identical to freshly blended or juiced celery.
